Boo!
DESCRIPTION: Definitely the worst "French" restaurant I have been to in South Florida! I am a French citizen with a background in the restaurant business in Fort Lauderdale. The waitress was great (from Brazil) but the food was mediocre. She took the order properly even asking about the temperature of the rack of lamb. The pat as an entr e was not cooked through and seved with oily garlic bread (poor combination.) For main course, my buddy received a duck instead of the lamb and the owner said it was the waitress' fault (which wasn't!)"Blaming it on her makes me look better!" he probably thought. The rack of lamb finally came and it was so tiny, we could barely find it under the fat and the thick crust of bread crumbs and the taste was overpowered by a large quantity of garlic. My dish was "Escalope de veau la cr me." Which had been ready to serve with the duck, was set aside and thrown under the broiler before serving! The veal had been pounded to death. The amount of flour was uncalled for and it was extremely dry and pasty. The mushroom/cream sauce was too thick and tasteless. The expresso was horrible.

Chez Magnifique!!!
DESCRIPTION: My brother turned me on to Chez Porky's about 10 years ago and even though I live in West Palm Beach, I have to go there at least a few times a year. There are a number of superb items on the menu, but the wife and I can never get past the wings (great sauces!) and red beans and rice. Whooeeee!!! Get the sampler, 16 wings with 4 different sauces. My favorites are: Raspberry, Louisiana, Spicy Oriental, and Curry. I'm starting to salivate even as I write this! The Coconut Curry soup is fabulous, along with everything else and the Kentucky Derby Pie is mandatory, according to my wife. Chez Porky's will leave your stomach fat and happy.

Still our favorite restaurant!
DESCRIPTION: I moved out of the area 2 1/2 years ago and it's still our favorite restaurant. We make a point of eating there when ever we visit. While we lived there, we took all of our out of town visitors and corporate guests to eat at Chez Porky's. Long time fans, we have had nearly everything on the menu. Our kids love the homemade style chicken noodle soup. Of course it's hard to choose between the gumbo and the coconut caribbean chicken soup. The wings are the best anywhere. The bourbon street steak is out of this world. The owner is super nice and makes a point of checking on all of his guests and also by the longevity of many of his staff. If you haven't tried it, you just don't know what your missing.

South Florida Requirement
DESCRIPTION: We only get to South Florida once or twice a year but absolutely have to go to Chez Porky's 3 or more times during our stay. My kids live for the rasberry Ribs and I can't get enough of the lemon garlic sauce for the wings. Everything else is spectacular also. It should be noted that it is not on the main street, is hard to find and is not super fancy. With that said, there has always been a large selection of Mercedes and other similar cars there and satrong local following. We're tourist and love it but a true success of a restaurant is how it appeals to the locals when all the tourists are gone. Chez Porky's is it.

Great Food, Great Owner.
DESCRIPTION: My family and I discovered this restaurant when it was here in Coral Springs, but make the treck every one month about 25 minutes to eat there. The Coconut soup, wing sampler, and the Chicken Zingara are great. Ribs are delicious with your non so tradional bbq sauce. Owner is very nice and personable!

TERRIBLE!!!
DESCRIPTION: My wife and I have been living in Pompano Beach for the past 11 years. We eat dinner at local restaurants on an average of 4 days a week. On Friday December 26, 2003 we ate at your restaurt and and I must say that it was perhaps the worst dining experience I have encountered in a restaurant in South Florida. My wife and I had no sooner gotten our salads than our main course was brought to our table with the excuse that the cook pepared it very quickly. By the time we finished our salads and began our main course (ribs at $17.95 a full rack) they were cold, hard and it was like eating shoe leather and rubber. When we asked the waiter for a conatiner to take home what we could not eat, it took him 15 minutes to have a container brought to our table. He told us he had to request the container from the kitchen. It was finally brought to us by the manager. All in all, I wasted $45.00 including the tip on a dinner at a restaurant that I would not recommend to anyone visiting or looking for a good meal. In summary: 1. The food was terrible. 2. The service was horrible 3. The professionalism of the staff left alot to be desired and my overall rating for this restaurant, based on my experience would be -5 stars!! I know there are others that felt as I did that evening because I heard many peple complaning of the poor quality of the ribs. In my opinnion, PERHAPS ONE OF THE WORST RESTAURANTS IN SOUTH FLORIDA!!!!!

Good Food and Good Value.
DESCRIPTION: I disagree with others who have critized this restaurant. We drive at least once a month from Boynton Beach to eat here. The salad bar alone is a meal. The best thing on the menu is the BROASTED CHICKEN. I believe they sell more of that than anything else. The salad bar has soup, a pasta bar, hot veggies, fruit and cakes for dessert and even jello and fat free puddings. You cannot beat the value for the dollar. I highly recommend this place.
